The most poetic sewage treatment fantasy building

Purity in what everyone wants in their hearts.

The “pure” life described by Tao Yuanming, a writer of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, in “The Story of the Peach Blossom Spring” strikes the same chord as the “purity” pursued by the water treatment center. In this case, the mountains in “The Story of the Peach Blossom Spring” are used as the main design image. The second layer outside the sewage treatment plant and other factory buildings is surrounded by the image of scattered mountains, which is a metaphor for the ideal world shaped by the guidance and protection of the mountains in the story.

In this design, the double skin structure is used. In addition to the original functional building’s façade, a second layer is constructed from a modular steel frame and aluminum grille, forming a double-wall, similar to a double curtain. In this building system composed of two façades, air can flow between the two walls to adjust to the temperature, light and radiation needed for a natural cooling effect.

The dome space formed by the louvers features mountains, forests and waterfalls. The purified water can be used to raise fish, creating a friendly water park sewage treatment plant, allowing visitors to experience the coexistence of people and the environment. The translucent light curtain has not only become a great ecological education experience space, but also won the green building award and the National Excellent Construction Award. The elegant night lighting design creates a Zen atmosphere, making this sewerage treatment plant the most poetic building.
