NTU College Of LAW

NTU College Of LAW

Concept Of Design

The Guardian of the Black Forest

As the last piece of virgin forest at National Taiwan University, the “Black Forest” is where the NTU College of Law donated by Cathay Financial Holdings (Tsai Lecture Hall) and Fubon Group (Wan Tsai Research Hall) stood. Located at the two corners of the triangular Black Forest, the two buildings guard the Black Forest with an L-shaped posture.

As the starting point where the entrance to the college is located, the ground floor of the Tsai Lecture Hall has a high ceiling design, allowing NTU teachers and students to freely pass through before walking into the black forest. As the endpoint where the exit from the college is located, the spiral staircase that resembles a tree trunk runs through the entire building, allowing visitors to witness the skylight as they roam freely in the black forest.
